Way Back When: Bauhaus

Here is a great little history lesson on some great Mid-Century heritage; Bauhaus.

Creede is a frugal design junkie. He loves miminamist and mid-century influences and often finds himself with a hammer and drill in hand in order to achieve the style he wants without breaking the bank.

Oh man, that subtle dig at those chain-driven louvered windows; I can see how they may have been disappointing at the time — but I am absolutely in love with them, now!

    What a great video!

The only thing down here in Utah county that is on the “modern” scene (that I have run into lately) is the new Alice Lane furniture on the corner of State and University Pkwy (opposite corner from University Mall). It’s a high-end, independently owned furniture store–all the furniture is designed by the owner of the store. There are some classic designs, some classic modern, etc…good mixture of stuff, and all really nice. If you ever get down here I’d suggest you check it out.

    Have a great Christmas!
