Knife and Saw bike shelf

I have a couple of bikes to store in my new loft, including the handsome trek district. While I have seen a few cool bike holders before, I am really liking the bike shelf made by Chris Brigham of Knife and Saw. While they are available for order directly from Chris ($300 for Walnut, $270 for Ash) I think I may need try a DIY version in the coming weeks.
