Fatboy dog beds

Fatboy
DSC_0003.JPGSo as the winter months creep in Ainsley, our GoldenDoodle, has started to seek out the comforts of life, namely our couch. The last couple of days we have come home to find him totally lounged out on it like he owned the world. As much as we hate it, we can’t help but admit it is a little cute. So, since he is a totally spoiled only child, we decided it was time to bite the bullet and get a dog bed. Of course not just any would do, so the hunt was on. Luckily we stumbled upon Post Modern Pets, your one stop shopping source for modern pet goods. After hunting around we settled on the fatboy dog lounge. The look, although not as modern as the Jonathan Adler, fit our decor just right. The size truly is of lounge proportions and best of all the price doesn’t break the budget. Its covered with a heavy duty nylon that is totally washable, and should hold up to the abuse. I have aspirations to make a bentply frame for it. We’ll see.
Available here for $139.

OMG $139.00………On a much smaller budget I built a pretty nice doggie bed for my two goldens, one english mastif and two cats. I found a very nice extra wide sleeping bag constructed of tight woven fabric at Smith & Edwards on sale for $19.00. I then inserted a 4″X6′x30″ foam pad (Smith & Edwards) and “there you go” Doggie bed for under $30 dollars.

Fat Boy also now offers these dog beds in some really cool Marimekko patterns (http://www.fatboy.nl/marimekko/products/true). A bit more spice than the basic/boring solid colors. They don’t list the dog beds in the Marimekko prints online but they are available in retail stores.

We’ve got a bunch of other cool dog bed write ups here:

That’s a great price for a bed that big! Love the Goldendoodle as well. I’m also partial to the Labradoodles. Thanks for the link Jon…Pupstyle is a great resource!

We too have a goldendoodle who looks very much like your dog- he’s 9 months old and needs a bed, however, it needs to be a cool bed as he’s always panting.

We bought the fatboy bed and none of our three dogs will use it, it’s too sstiff and makes a lot of noice. It is way cute but alas, not appealling to dogs.
