ooh, thanks! I ordered the sofa in dark gray and I would have spent at least twice as much for something similar at Crate and Barrel or Room and Board. I’ll return and report once it arrives.

Waiting patiently for an update on the sofa Shelah. Have been pining away for my lovah ‘Andre’ at Room and Board for some time. Think I will wait a little longer to see what you think of the Chelsea. Fashion 4 Home looks like an exciting source. Has anyone any experience with this site. Loving the Siena Table as well…

I love this sofa! I too am waiting for your report Shela before I order. I called and spoke to a rep about fabric difference between the grey and beige. They said the fabric is identical even though the fabric in the photo looks as though it is a different weave. Im also a little concerned about support to the center of the sofa as there is no middle leg support to add structural stability for a sofa of its width.

Shelah- I’ve been patiently coming back and checking for your update, but I just have to ask: Did you get your sofa? What do you think? I’m dying to pull the trigger on this unit, but I’m holding off for your opinion. If you’ve gotten it and have a moment to let us know what you think, I’d really appreciate it!

I ordered mine and will update when I get it. I could not wait for an update from Shelah. I too have been coming back to check for updates so that I won’t get any surprises when it comes in. 3 months is a long time for the order to come in…that’s why I just took my chances and ordered it. I tend to be inpatient but I hope this does not bite me in the foot for not waiting for a proper review.

Any updates?? I have been wanting to order this couch but I’m really worried that it won’t be durable….

Still waiting. It’ll be awhile till mine arrive. About another month 1/2. It take 8-12 weeks from the order date.

Jorge – have you received your sofa? how do you like it? I am curious about the firmness (I am not fond of a firm sofa).

I finally went ahead and ordered mine, as well, a couple weeks ago. The site shows that it’s moved from “Preparing for Production” to “Production” as of today. Exciting! Rest assured, I’ll be back to comment on quality and delivery time as soon as I have it in my hands.

I have not yet received it. It’ll still be another month or so. When I called the company about the delay they said the volcanic eruption 2 months ago was to blame. I’ll post my comments when I get it.

I would like to purchase this sofa also and have been looking around the internet for reviews. I’ll be checking back. Love it.

I just got a call today that the sofa is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I’ll post as soon as it gets in.

Just got the sofa in and it looks great. Cushion is firm and supportive but not uncomfortable, but it could be a little more plush. However the fabric appears to have some sort of staining on the back side of the sofa. I called customer service and have emailed them photos of the defects. They will review and contact me in 24-48 hours about how they will handle this. Its very disappointing considering I had to wait 3 months for this thing. But I do like the high end look it gives to my room with its clean lines and low profile. The fabric could be a little better but then again…it was only 649.00. I think it’s well worth the price. I’ve seen similar sofas for twice the price. I’m expecting in significant discount or replacement from the company.

Can you elaborate on your statements, “it could be a little more plush” and “the fabric could be a little better”?

Is it a solid, well-built, comfortable, couch? Or is it a good couch for the money?

I will rate on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the highest. I never give 10′s.

The sofa feels solid and is somewhat a good weight and does not feel to cheap…but is not like some of the 2-300 pounders that are out there. For ex. I had a modernica cloud sofa that weighted a ton, but then again it had 2-3 times the amount of padding and it was really dense. The modernica costs $3,200.
Build Quality: 8

I would have liked the fabric to be softer like that of a chenille, or boucle, but I knew that’s not what I would be getting. This fabric feels like a a hemp or thick linen fabric used for clothing. I’m no expert on fabrics but that’s my take.
Fabric choice: 6

The cushions are firm/supportive like I would guess most couches in this class are due to the low profile and overall style of the couch. I would compare the firmness of that of a knoll with a less cushioned tuft. To make myself clear, this is no crate & Barrel sofa that makes you want to fall asleep when you sit in it. I’m using this sofa in my formal living space so comfort is not high on my list, it’s appearance…and it does the job for that purpose. Overall, I would recommend.

Now that I’ve sat in it a little more I just wanted to add another side note on the back height of the sofa. The height is pretty low, almost mid shoulder blade. The sofa does not give the best back support, but that is nothing out of the norm for the style. I would not recommend this sofa for a family room where TV is watched and lounging/kicking back for long periods of time are spent.

Comfort: 6

Fashion for home is paying for a steam cleaning service to get the staining out. If that doesn’t resolve the problem they will send me a new one.

Still love the sofa! Doesn’t get much use because it is in the formal living room, but it still looks great. Does the job.

I just ordered the sofa in the dark gray, and it is fabulous. It is also very comfy — firm, but comfy, which is what I like (no Lazy Boy styes for me). I think I have read about even mid entry modern sofa out there, and a lot of the more expensive ones get bad reviews. I would absolutely recommend this one.

Sofa is still not used much but I couldn’t be happier with the look it gives the room. It gets a lot of compliments.
